A bakery with tradition and quality

Vincenz bakery and patisserie is well-known outside of Switzerland, too. Many tourists take our products and memories with them around the world. For the two new managers, however, regional roots and providing the basics for the locals are equally important. Stefan Baumann, a native of Grindelwald, has been working in the bakery since 2019. As a trained baker and confectioner with bags of experience throughout Switzerland, he focuses on sustainable baking and the best tolerance levels for sensitive stomachs. The sales outlet in the centre of Wengen is managed by his partner, Alessia Uberto, who has grown up in the retail trade.

Together with their team, the young family is committed to selling fresh and wholesome baked goods. Providing the locals with the basics is also important to them, because Wengen is close to their hearts. All the visitors who come to Wengen can enjoy our range, which is available in the centrally located shop and also in many of the hotels in Wengen.

The taste starts with using the right grain

Wherever possible, we use regional ingredients to make our baked goods. We especially like to use grain varieties that our ancestors used in order to preserve these traditional and robust varieties. It therefore goes without saying that most of the types of flour come from a small, regional mill. Of course, everything is produced with the necessary certification and with the utmost passion and pride.

We believe in high quality and working with local partners

Short, easy transport links are important to us – we are not on the road to Wengen. So we tend to rely on various producers right here in the local area. What’s nice about this is that you can still talk to the producer face to face about his product. This builds confidence which is important for us to have in all our products. We are committed to you as our customer.
